I did have a post typed up...But my computer being the piece of crud that it is deleted all of it. I'm sleepy so I'll just throw all this art here and do a runner for now. Hopefully I'll post more shortly!

I'm moving out in around two months and since I'm leaving all my gaming material here...I'll prolly be skulking the internet instead haha.

Been ages since I've updated this blog... Been busy with college projects and building my portfolio, so I can guarantee that I haven't stopped drawing at all, which is always a plus right?

It's been pretty hectic these past few months, worrying about which university to apply to... What work needs to be done for what date and the whole "try to improve your art skills" thing. Then again thats a constant goal for an artsist isn't it?

But to be fair, I have also been busy...Ehh...Playing video games. Yes. That means busy. It gave me inspiration to draw so no complaints from me! It's fun AND inspiring, and because it's drawing it's double the fun! Even better. :D

I have been meaning to post some life drawing over here for a looooong time now, and I actually do have some stuff to throw up here for those who still check back here! Prepare to be blinded by my horrible attempts at anatomy!
I will try and post the rest at a later date, once my portfolios have been sent around to the Universities I have applied to.

Hope you've all been keeping well! I gotta get back to working on these deadline hehe.

It's been a while since I've been able to post on here again! A lots been going on with me since the holidays have started up...But it's pretty late to start spraffing about it now. I'll leave it at I got a summer job and I'm saving up for a better computer, since this laptop is on it's last legs as far as art programs/space and general function is going.

It's been quite a while since I've updated this place... I really wish I had more time to throw stuff up here, but between college deadlines and lots of distractions it's been rather difficult to say the least. A lot has happened since the last update, some good and some bad, but hey it could always be worse!

Most of college is over, so I get a lot more time to doodle whatever I want! However, I've set myself somewhat of a summer project animation-wise. I won't tell you too much about it at this stage, seeing as the idea itself is only two days or so old, but it is based around the popular game Team Fortress 2. I recently bought myself a copy off steam, soooo very addicting! Not to mention inspiring hehehe...
So a lot of this art is TF2 based. Now, I have drawn a lot more than this...I just don't want to spam you too much with stuff that really sucks. Plus most of it is in my sketchbook and my scanner STILL hates me.

I hope distractions don't get to me too much... I do love CoD:MW2 and TF2 but I REALLY wanna make sure I improve my art this summer. Especially with people's faces and body structure! I wanna be able to style it all like crazy.

Phew! Semester 1 is over!

Semester 1 of my HNC is finally over. It felt like it took such long time, especially after the last week or so. I've had so many technical difficulties that I've started to hate the college computers with a passion... Also the printers. They always want to break when I need to use them, or so it seems. I lost most of my work within the last few days we had left to work on it, but managed to pull out something to show.

Tomorrow I get to find out if I've passed and if I have made the cut for the 2nd semester. I really hope I have, because I really tried my best this time. I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses but... It's been a really tough year. Losing my gran made me think a lot about what I've been doing, how I am as a person and what I need to change about me. It took me such a long time to think it through and to be honest, I think I still am. I know I sure as Hell cry about it still. Thats for another time I suppose, though.

I haven't been drawing much on the computer, but I have a few old doodles I can throw at you all. Hope you're keeping well!
Time to find out if I'm in the clear. Tomorrow will be the make or break of it! Good night guys.

It's been a long time since I posted here...But a lot has been going on for me, so I had little energy to come here and post things. Life went pretty down hill after my birthday, as my gran who had been ill for quite some time passed away...
I don't have much to report other than that... I've been feeling a bit better lately, and I've doodled a little for you all to see! I need to get back to doing my college work however. I hope you're all keeping well since my disappearance. Have a good day!

So my brother's birthday has gone and past. I drew him a picture of a character from Lucky Star because he was watching it at the time.

But today is my 18th birthday! Yay me! I haven't really done much to celebrate it today apart from bake cakes and stuff. That in itself was great.

Not been drawing much or posting here for various reasons that I am not ready to speak about so I'll just leave you with this little offering.

So it's nearly the end of the summer holidays, I'm kinda afraid to go back to college. The work load this year is apparently similar to a tonne of bricks being slung over your shoulder and dragged up a hill. Goody!

A lot has happened during my absense of posting, on the art front aswell as the general life one... We have a new kitten called Cleo wandering around the house, good thing too because my family really do need a little cheer around here. She's a lovely beastie, Bruce and her get along like a house on fire. They play together for hours and when they're done they cuddle up together and snooze. It's really sweet!

My grans not doing so good however... The chemo therapy has taken it's toll as expected, she's weak and needs a lot of help around the house. She also took a fall a few weeks back which gave us all a scare. She was taken into the hospital today because she's started blacking out a lot and we were getting worried. I'm sure she will be fine after a few fluid drips though. I wish my parents were more hopeful though....

I'm also worried about my parents. They're getting really stressed out about this, because my gran needs help with everything. We even had to get a baby monitor put in her room so they could get to her during the night if she needs them. In saying that, my gran is also being difficult about it. She lies to the paramedics/doctors for a start, which doesn't help ANYONE. She also tends to only ask for help from my mum. To put it in perspective, she works 12 hour shifts at a time. It's putting so much pressure on her, she has to stay up late with my gran only to get up super early for work. I mean, for the past few weeks she's beem going to bed at 3 AM and getting up at 8 AM. It's insane!

So me and my brother have been doing what we can to help out. I've adopted to cooking and cleaning the kitchen up, also hoovering and cleaning various rooms, dusting and the like. I found that I love to cook! It's awesome!
Been drawing less and less however, but that can be expected. I've compiled a bunch of stuff I've done over the period, but I can't put all of it up hehe.

Lately, we've also been doing some rearanging of the house. I moved into my gran's upstairs room, she and my brother moved into downstairs rooms. It's not a perminant move for me, but it's still nice. I've never had such a big room! I also have a desk to call my own now. Still moving stuff but it's done for the most part. :)

Anyways, I better get moving! I have to clean up and cook dinner before my dad has to go out to see my gran. Hope you're all keeping well!

Just letting you all know I'm still around, and still doodling anway. A lot of stuffs been going on around here lately...Not of the pleasant kind either, but one must stay hopeful in these situations or so I have been told.

In any case, recently I've been getting into an anime...Rare for me considering I'm not the biggest fan of these things due to reused stories... But I have to say, Yu-Gi-Oh caught my eye, and not the English dub either. It started out with the Abridged series made my Little Kuriboh. I loved his spin on the characters, and the show really did cheer me up during this time. I'd thank him personally if I could, but that would be a bit difficult! So I started chasing down the Japanese version with subs. Particularly the season that never aired outside of Japan, or as people on the interwebs seem to call it "Season 0". Less cardgames and more mind tricks, lovely stuff! But I must say the drawings have been quite entertaining in Yu-Gi-Oh... Especially when they're trying to be serious, but that's for another time.

OHHHH, and how excited is everyone about Ice Age 3? I gotta say I'm dying to see it! I loved the previous ones, and so far the clips I've seen of the third installment have looked absolutely amazing. That and Simon Pegg is in it...Gaaah he's so funny, and the character he's playing suits the voice acting he provided so well. Gotta set aside some time to go see that, that's for sure!

Hope you're all having a nice summer, it's been pretty rainy over here but today was lovely.

Okay, sorry about the last post ending like that. My gran was having a checkup with the hospital and such because they thought she had a lump in her stomach. I'm so glad she didn't... Infact, her organs seem to be in perfect health, so very happy am I! However, she is going back for another test as far as I am aware. Hope the virus infection is dying down.

Been watching a LOT of the Powerpuff girls lately. Me being the little obsessive weirdo I am even got carried away with the ramblings of a certain green, brain buldged chemical-x powered simian, Mojo Jojo! So much so infact that he invaded my doodle diary... Which this time, I have some scans to share with you. Hah! Proof that it actually exists! Take that Amy. I tend not to show the doodles in this book, so feel unlucky to take a little peek into what happens in my head when nothing is happening in the college classes.
I also appear to have an obsession with high lighters...Go figure.

Also, apologies in advanced for that scary Mojo face... I dunno what came over me when I drew that. I'll end this post by just stating the obvious. Craig McCracken is a genius!

Too quickly for my liking! Ah well, back to the grind that I kinda missed over the holidays. It's nice to be back with my friends and actually work on something...

Started back on Monday, went pretty smoothly apart from the fact that only 5 people showed up... I guess that means more time with the tutors but...Yeah. I also found ot rather hard to concentrate in the morning classes, I ran out of steam way too quickly and it killed my productivity! Ah well, maybe it's because I was super tired from the night before. Sleeping pattern is outta wack due to all the late night videogame fests. Ah those are fun!

...I was going to add more to this blog but I just found out something extremely worrying... I'll update later maybe.

Well my holidays started a while ago, but I've been busy playing too many games and not doing enough drawing! I'll try and fix that but I can't promise anything.

Been trying to do a mix of things over the past couple of days, more finished work than I was aiming for, but that's a good thing hehe!

Not really much to report, done some work on my animation for college so production on that is running pretty smoothly. All the storyboard is coloured and inked, although I was considering redrawing it all digitally for my final...Hmmm, I'll have to look into it, it could take way too long to do. Also need to work on my 3D spacial drawings and some locations too.

Things have been quiet on my end for some time now, kinda a bummer because I like things to be a lot more exciting than this. I was planning to maybe head up North to shoot some photos as references when Summer rolls around, until then I'm kinda stuck here trying to finish my work on time. I have a friend heading up in the Summer too, should be a real blast. Can hardly wait! It's too far away for me darn it!

I managed to save the stages I go through for some of my drawings, at least when it comes to some of the members of Sector Z, hehe. Enjoy the stuff guys!

College ate my soul again! I apologise for my lack of updates. It's been so long since I've updated this place. Been filling up my sketchbook diaries for college and my own of course, instead.Got a couple of doodles to throw up so hopefully that will make up for it. I even have a traditional piece to show you all, lucky duckies? I dunno, I kinda suck with the inks and water colours and things... Oh well, hope you like them none the less! Quite a few cartoons and game arts here... Some Courage the cowardly dog characters. I do miss that show.

Some Metal gear solid works too! Including what I can only assume is a caricature of a young Revolver Ocelot. It kinda scares me. Especially his eyes!
Also some Ape Escape. Yes yes. Much banter and all that jazz.

It really does! I never get the chance to update here much anymore, which is a shame because I do like to record my thoughts... Ah well, I do have that sketch diary in the works, have had it since I started college way back hehe. Maybe I'll scan a couple of pages in one day when I get a hold of a scanner that's of decent quality! but until then you'll have to wait I guess.

Got a lot of college work to do this semester, and I'm finding it hard to keep on top of it but I'm coping. I want to get my design work done quickly this time around, so I have plenty of time for the animation and don't have to let the sound quality let it down. I've got the character designs down, and some possible background area ideas, so I guess that's helpful enough. Got an essay due on Tuesday, not so hot about that one though... Wasn't sure how to start it off, let alone give it a middle and an end! But I guess time will tell if that was a good attempt or not.

Been working on drawing realism. Perhaps I'll throw up some of my sketches, criticisms would be welcomed and much appreciated. Hope all is good on your end guys. Have a good one!

Injury strikes again.

Once again I'm suffering a repetitive strain injury in my drawing arm. I'm getting kinda worried about all this trouble with it. Ah well, my tutor gave me a few ways to help teach myself to take drawing a little easier so it might not happen again. Though I have to say, drawing with a wooden plank stuck to my arm doesn't sound too tempting haha.

Not much to say this time round. Been having quite a rough patch with things I would rather keep to myself.

On Friday the 30Th of January a friend of the family passed away. She took care of me when I was smaller, and I would never be as persistent or stubborn as I am today without her. Peggy, rest in peace. We will all greatly miss you.

That's right people, it's just over the horizon and I'm STILL lagging behind on my work. I need to redo my brief, complete all of my 8 images and then add the sounds to my animation. I have the rest of today and tomorrow to do this. Thankfully I'm close to completion of the 8, and the sounds will not take me too long to do if Flash decides to cooperate. And briefs are simple too so I should be up and runin' by Tuesday! I'm lucky I finished off my art study for my tutor by the first deadline or I'd be in so much trouble right now.

I have artwork for this upload, but I've been rather distressed with the doodling recently... I haven't drawn anything in days and it's starting to get me a little frustrated. I feel like the bird down there!

Why do I keep befriending those who will drop me like a freaking hot potato the minute they're happy or suckered art off of me like a leech? I know there are lovely people out there that will treat me with respect and won't toss me aside, I just really wish I could find them... I don't have many friends anymore. I can count them on my hands, those people I really do trust, I love them to bits. And I bet you're reading this. My love really does go out to you guys, you put up with my lameness and my idiocy through the good and the bad. Thank you so very much...

It would appear to me, however, that my friend group that I used to hang out with almost everyday have moved on and are happy to continue on without me, only acknowledging me with a brief "hello" if I'm lucky, before ignoring me. No matter what I do or say... It's as if I never knew them in the first place. I don't even know why I'm ranting about this anymore. I've done so in so many previous posts... It's like I'm blasting hot air for no freaking reason. None of them will ever know anyway. Like they'd give a damn.

I'd love for someone to tell me what I did that made them want to toss me out like that... I really want to know what I did that can make me so upset and sorry to be around. It's doing my head in, really... I don't remember offending them, but if I did I want to know why so I can make it up to them. Or at least be given an explanation. Maybe I'm too uncool for them? Or too geeky? Or just down right annoying.

All I remember doing is trying to be there for them, or trying to make them laugh. Staying up until crazy hours making them presents just because I felt they needed one, or because they were upset. Staying on all night just to talk with them if they needed just a someone to listen to them...

I must have done something horribly wrong and despicable for this to keep happening... I probably deserve it.

Not much really going on right now apart from college work and the coy playing of games every now and then. I do admit I haven't really been able to post much up in the way of art up here and I do apologise for this. However, this doesn't mean I haven't been drawing! Quite the opposite I assure you. Most of my drawings recently have been done on paper in various sketch books. Mostly for college work but definitely beneficial to me, that's for sure. We recently did movement studies in my art class, though it was with a partner and consisted of five minute sketches, a slight movement and then drawing over the image with the movement on top. It's hard to explain, but it's like drawing frames in flash with the onion layer on, except you're going from light colours to darker ones. I decided to do a few practice runs with a more cartoony twist to it as you can see below.

Also managed to throw together a coloured work for you all, rare for me but it's becoming more common... Thankfully!

Was listening to the Art Grounds radio while doodling these up. The user Percy was playing a bunch of songs and I tried to draw along to each one. It's really hard to keep up, especially on short songs but it really is a fun thing to do hehe!

Dunno about this one really. I did it a lot earlier in the week and I don't recall what was going through my cranium at that moment. Let's just say I was practicing a walking forward pose?

Forgot they were told to skip their lighting class so those who failed their tests could resit and thus has to wait around for 2 hours doing jack all because she can't get a computer with photoshop and a graphics tablet to continue with her project?

You guessed it! Me! Urgh what a burk.

Ah well can't stop what's already happened, right? I'll see if I can get some stuff I've been working on uploaded here, if this bucket of bolts will even let me. Seriously, college computers are so very slow. It's like running in slow motion but not as cool.

Okay so this computer won't let me upload the images directly here, pain in the butt that it is. However, I do have a back up plan! Let's see if Photobucket will be my friend today and let me shove them up on there. In the mean time here is a doodle of Numbuh 4 I did a while ago. Same colouring I tried on that Numbuh 3 picture, but it turned out a lot better in my opinion.

And I think I may have figured out this upload thing! Mwuhahaha, let the posting of crud commence!

First up is my cover design for my final work CD. Who doesn't wanna ride a giant pidgeon into battle? I know I do!

This is one of my 8 Digital images. Basically it is 8 images that tell a story of transition and are composed of at least 2 layers. I chose reality to cartoon and vise-versa. But I guess that's kinda obvious! [I hope.]

And this is a cartoon version of my friend Debbeh peeking out from a dark room where we take out our films from photography. Those rooms are pure EVIL I tell you. I walked right into the door once because it was so dark and I couldn't find the handle. Go me!

I have also been animating away with a gift for Debbeh. And here it is!

Busy body!

Indeed I am. This time of the year is always busy with all the deadlines floating around, sheesh! I'm a little worried about it, but it should pull together. Even if it is at the last booming second possible. I've almost got 2 of my 8 images completed so that's something, right?

Animation is coming along smoothly, apart from the question of whether I can animate a chicken turning it's head from facing forwards to the side. I did practice turning a monkey 360 degrees, but that didn't have a beak sticking out of it's face now did it?

Yet again I have been playing with a new colouring style. Please tell me what you think of it when you see it in this rather bulky upload of crummy doodles!

Guess who's a lazy poo?

I feel like such a lazy sod, considering the upload of pictures this update is pathetic in the amount of time I've had. But I assure you, I wasn't being silly and playing video games the whole time, honest!... Okay so maybe I was, but it was the best game ever. I was one of the many people who flocked to the Fusionfall web page for one of their wide scale Beta tests! It was spread across last Friday to Sunday and let me tell you, it was great fun. And usually mmoRPGs aren't my cup of tea. Then again, a coming together of the CN stars would of course be appealing to a mega cartoon junkie like myself. I spent most of my time making the Numbuh 2 and 5 nanos dance and say things. They were so adorable! I could feel my heart and brain combusting from the mere sight of them! So as what happens with all things I love, expect a heap of doodles of the game and some of my experiences in it. Starting with this post of course!

Now on to the drawings!

I have rekindled my fangirlish nature for a certain red headed genius due to Fusionfall. Also caused me to scower the Internet to find a few episodes to watch as well. Oh how I love Dexter's Laboratory. Genndy Tartakovsky is so amazing...

Essays.

Are kinda boring but are one of the many things one must do whether they like it or not. Luckily for me I've almost finished mine for Communications class so I should have plenty of time to work on my other projects hehe. I've got through the first part of my animation without a hitch, but the backgrounds are proving to be fairly time consuming. I'm considering using painted backgrounds instead, but the scan quality might hinder me a bit... I could do the backgrounds in my own time here at home I suppose as well as the sketch animations, bring them in to class and add the final details then. Hmmmmm, I'll ponder this over in greater details over the course of the week, see if I can get a conclusion out before Thursday.

I also have eight ideas for Digital imaging in the works, I should be able to do a photo shoot of them sometime in the near future before I can get on to painstakingly editing them over in Photoshop. At least it's progression!... I think?

Anywhoooo, on to the doodles!

I blame my itunes for this one. A bunch of dance songs came on in a row and the next thing I know... A dancing afro monkey? I draw these too often!

Been in a real Chowder mood as of lately, so I've got a few doodles of him and Panini.

I was also in a bit of an Underfist mood. But then again that's more of a case of, when am I not?

Progress report!

I trust you all had a great Halloween? I know I did. The Wrath of the Spider Queen FINALLY aired here after a buhmillion years of waiting, needless to say I was not disappointed! It was fantastic. A great episode.
I've handed in my Work book for my NQ Digital Design class today, got the green light for heading in the right direction which is a relief. Major weight off my shoulders, and it means I can start on my final products for Digital imaging and my other 8 images I need to do. The sooner I get this done, the longer I'll have to work on my animation that's due sometime in January. All is well on that front, at least for a little while hehe.

And now because there isn't much else in the ways of updates, I shall spam you with random digital doodles. First up is some fan art I've done for Josh Lieberman of Manny & Khan. I gotta say I loved doing this one, the characters are a real treat to draw! Even though I have a strange feeling they're out of character... Oh well, hope he likes it.

Next up is just a 10 second doodle of a bunny. Randomly 'hopped' out of my head, hehe.

Some good ol' Storm Hawks fanart, even though I haven't seen it in so long I still love drawing the style. This is a little Merb character I designed a while back, his name is Bird Flu!

Unfortunately I was not able to purchase one this year, but I have hopefully made up for this with the number of Jack O'Lantern drawings I have done!
They were made for a friend of mine over on DA who was feeling down about some users heckling her and being neglectful. So I decided to see if I could cheer her up with a bunch drawings of her favourite cartoon character of all time, Jack O'Lantern himself! She was quite speechless when she received it hehe. Mission accomplished I think!

I've also been playing a LOT of Samba De Amigo, so much so that I managed to get to one of the online leader boards on survival mode.

Things have been so tense here at home lately... Not pleasant at all. My parents, brother and I are getting to the end of our tethers at my grans behaviour. It's not natural for someone to behave as such, especially at her age. She gave me a good smack in the arm because I was defending my mother and started screaming while everyone else was simply talking. Buh, my mum said that this is only the beginning of it and that it will only be a matter of time before she starts punching... The only question is how long?

It's a funny feeling, to say the least. I've recently discovered truths about her that I never knew before. About how exactly she has treated my mum. It's disgusting. It's the only word I'd use to describe it. No one should EVER treat their own child that way. It just boils my blood thinking about it... But for peace's sake I will keep my disgust silent. But the next time she goes around being so ungrateful for nothing but kind gestures, my God will I argue with her until I turn blue in the face.

Been drawing like crazy lately, especially Underfist fan art...

Also been developing my storyboard for my assignment in class. It still needs a LOT of work done to it but I think it's gone pretty well up to this point. The characters have been sorta chosen too! I'll be sticking with Boss Bear, Fizz and a redesign of Chuck. He needs to be a more confident and angry character. Befitting of a rooster. This will also require a rename, hmmm. Ah well, enjoy the random rubbish!

Let's start things off with an Irwin doodle! I loved his role in the show, and his powers were so very nerdeliciously awesome.

Next up is Fred Fredburger!... Now I drew him facing off with a Magic duck because they kept calling him that in the Underfist... Yeah I know I'm not funny shush.

And a Jeff swinging with his little buddy of course! I need to practice drawing Jeff. He's difficult to get correct, as is Hoss.

Still on the look out for a job, jeez it's been months and all I've found is places pretending to have spaces for part time slots and fully available manager positions. Ones that I can't fill due to my college commitment. However, today I feel pretty good about it. I've handed out a few CVs and I'm off out to hunt again tomorrow... Jeez it's similar to a Safari out here! Oh well, I'll cover all the back streets to see if I can track down a few more positions that may be willing to give me a job...

As it stands we've officially started dabbling in Flash at college, as you can tell in my previous post I'm still a bit of a newbie. We've also been given full freedom on our final assignment which means I can let my mind run rampant around blank canvas with character and story ideas. My only issue is that I might just get really carried away and add far too much detail to it all... Oh well, I can practice both at home and at college so hopefully I can make it work! In any case I'll show you a few concepts I've got in the works as well as some other concepts for an entirely different idea I've had... Not for college in any way, more for my own personal happiness.
In any case, here's the school stuff!

Now these concepts are for my own little mini series I may or may not do. Depends if I get around to it or not... Or whether I find a better story. I won't reveal it of course but I'll show you some character developments and notes I've done so far. [Not many!]

This week has been so very very great for me. I finished my first animation, a basic walk cycle, but it actually WORKS! Man was I a happy bunny that day. My tutor is also gleeful about my work book and says I'm making good progress. No worries at all, which is always a good thing to know.

Mr Atom's update on the Underfist also got me hyped. I just hope it's going to air here on the 12th too, though I'm doubting it... Ah well, it'll end up on the Internet some time after I'm hoping. But the style really is lovely, especially the Fred Fred Burger revamp. So very adorable but keeps the same silly air that it always had. Argh you just want to hug the frozen yoghurt shoveling fool.

On Saturday I also got to see "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People". Simon Pegg you bloody genius! I couldn't stop laughing from start to finish, definitely one title to add on to the "must buy awesomeness" list. Still need to get a job to get the funding to make it more of a reality than a list though... Hmmm..... I also get to go see Mirrors next weekend with a couple of friends of mine, should be a great laugh! They'll probably be screaming their heads off hehe.

And last but not least, I have recently been told over at Frederator's blog about the Ape Escape! cartoon series. I've been looking forward to seeing that for a little over a year now. The shorts have been completed and sent off to Nicktoons so hopefully we'll be seeing them on TV soon. I really do hope so, the story board clips look so great! So much so that I've started drawing fanart already. Like I did LAST year when I first saw some of the starting story boards. Sad little me, teehee.

It's most certainly what I would call it anyway! After a few days of trying to find a date acceptable to theoretically have a party with my friends on, I have finally found one that suits both me, my parents, as well as my brother. So it's been decided that it will be happening after all, which makes me over the moon! There are conditions however, but I'm sure my buddies won't mind helping me clean up the morning afterwards hehe.

Monday was a my brothers 18th birthday, as well as a Scottish bank holiday! So my family, the birthday boy and I all went out for the day on a major shopping spree. No one was left out so it seems! As I finally found an anatomy book to aid me with my studies that was actually within my price range, huzzah. A great time was had by all, and we even got to sit down and have a coffee with a light lunch before heading over to the market for the week's shop. But his party is not over yet or so it seems, as we're also going out on Saturday evening to have a celebratory meal at a place of his choosing. I'm curious as to where he's going to choose, but I'm sure it'll be lovely.

These past few days have also been very reminiscent for me, as a few friends and I decided to compose a large list of old cartoons that we grew up watching. I listed quite a number, and have caught up with a couple of them to produce a few doodles for you all. I've got a lot of doodles to post today, so I'll break them off into lists to make the viewing a little more understandable. Brace yourselves for art spam!

First up is some good ol' Rocko's Modern Life doodles. Man was that one of the best shows on television when I was smaller. I really do miss watching it.

Next up is the squirreltastic Super Secret Squirrel! One of my favourite shows when I was smaller, definitely one to look up if you haven't seen it. The show was made by the famous Hannah-Barbera, also the creator of shows such as The Flintstones, Captain Planet and the Jetsons.

Ah, now these next doodles are for a great pal of mine. Known to you as Rippl3r, I met him on AG a long while back when I first joined. He's remained and will always be one of my closest amigos. If you're reading this Ripp, me love you long time okay hun? Okay!

And this last piece is just a random doodle that really doesn't have any meaning what so ever. I just felt the need to draw a Husky and a Fox. Enjoy!

As always when I plan something it doesn't turn out like it's supposed to... This time it is not in my favour, but you know life goes on.

I'm just a bit miffed that my birthday got wiped off the map because of my brother's birthday. I know it's his 18th and it's very special, but why does that mean I can't have one little party? I haven't had a party since I was 7, jeez. Although I'm happy that he gets a special dinner to celebrate his 18th, he's going out with his friends this weekend too so I'm sure he'll have a blast! I just hope he doesn't get drunk...Yikes.

I've also managed to pick up two more job applications. I'll fill 'em out and hopefully have them sent back within the next two days or so... Hope I actually get hired, though I doubt I will. No one wants to hire a 16 year old with no experience. All the jobs available right now are Management ones anyway, a full time job that I can't work for! Ah well. Hope you're all doing better than I am, I have to say I'm feeling quite down in the dumps.

Just thought I'd pop over here and upload a few sketches I've done. Nothing finished, just doodles with colour thrown here and there!

Last weekend I went out with my friends for a good ol' movie day. Although we really never got around to actually watching anything because we were too busy talking, laughing, hitting and hugging each other. We also got ourselves lost late at night trying to chum one another home! It was great fun, I'm really gonna miss them so badly.... But that doesn't mean I can't go and visit them all on Wednesdays mwehehehe. We also decided that we should all hang out more at weekends and t never finalize my leavingness with a traditional shirt signing. I'm rather thankful of that actually, it'd make me get all weepy and I hate being like that!

We also began planning what's gonna happen for my birthday. So far its just going to be a two day movie fest with snacks and video game playing. Sounds like a perfect party to me! As long as they come over and hang out with the lonely sod which is me. Can't wait!

Anyway, I must be off. Gotta keep cleaning up the house, new carpets are being fitted tomorrow.

Second day at college today and I gotta say I'm having a blast! Lovin' the classes even if I'm still too shy to barely speak. Gotta say I'm so happy I got in. The classes are a lot more art-involved and thus more interesting to a doodler like me. So far I've had a Sound class, Photography class, Life drawing class...And on Thursday it'll be my first Lighting class and animation class! I can hardly contain myself with excitement.

As for tomorrow, seeing as I have a day off I'm planning to go on the hunt for jobs before meeting up with a few friends during their lunch break so I can say a proper good bye. Ohhh which reminds me, I popped in today after class time and said good bye to the majority of the teachers I had at Boroughmuir before signing a leavers forum...

Some how through all of that I also got invited back to go to the Sixth year prom, even if I've left...Which should be rather lovely to go along to, see old friends and stuff. But that's not for a long time yet!

I'm certainly a lucky sod this month! After being told on Wednesday that I'd most likely never get into the Computer Design course I applied for, I was sure I had no alternative but to wait until this time next year.

At least that's what I thought.... However, on Friday after school as I was hanging around with a pal I got a call on my mobile. As it turned out someone had called in saying they wanted to drop out of the course, thus meaning I could take their place! Huzzah! So I'm starting up tomorrow, and let me tell you, I'm a nervous wreck! But hey, it's what I wanted right?

I'm gonna be geeking it up in that class, at least on the days we have animation. I hope I don't freeze up like I used to in the social rings. Jeez that sucks. I've also gotten a little money to spend on some new stuff that I'm in desperate need of, such as coats and shirts n'all... I also managed to order myself a new messenger bag, official 24 merchandise too. My God I'm such a geek, but I do love being one it has to be said.

But I haven't just been watching 24, oh no. Been watching KND as usual, as well as catching myself some Pepper Ann episodes. Jeez I really miss that show. I used to watch it all the time when I was small. Gwah, must draw myself some fan art for that show! But for now this will have to suit you all until next time!

Interviews.

Well I just had an interview at Stevenson college for my animation course option. As it stands I don't think I will get a spot, not because of my work but because of a faulty computer. There's supposed to be one more computer in the room but apparently the tech people aren't fixing it or whatever. So I'm probably not going to get a place which sucks because it means I have to stay at Boroughmuir.

However, I do have a reserved spot in case someone wants to drop out of the class, so if anyone does I'll be able to get in. They think I'm very young for doing it though, because a few more highers will improve my chances at art colleges... Oh well.

They said if I had applied a little earlier they would have given me a spot, but I do have other options. I can either start college in January instead and have another interview in November/December, or wait another year.

They'll give me a call later on with what's happening, but I must say it doesn't look like I'll be going this year. Sucks to be me.

Okay so today was my first day back, and let me tell you it's only heightened my hatred for that place. Boroughmuir truly is the armpit of education. How to start the problems, apart from the numerous teacher issues....

What they have been calling a "dress code" has now turned into a full blown uniform as I thought it would, but they still insist on it being a dress code rather than a uniform. Come on people, there's no need to dance around the issue. We KNOW it's a uniform, please don't patronise us. I also love how it's their number one concern, that and their grade percentages. It's sickening! An utter disgrace!

But that brings me to a fairly positive point. I have applied to Stevenson College to start an animation and graphic design course. If I get a place there, it means I won't ever have to return to that place and I'll be ever closer to my dream.

However, I am also still awaiting news of my application to GASP!, but I do know if I don't get contacted by this coming Tuesday I know I haven't secured myself an interview. Fingers crossed eh?

I figure I should spam post some art for you guys, I'm feeling generous and I don't think I'll be able to post as often as I'd like in the coming term. So enjoy what I am offering you this evening!

Alright so, I've been busy for the past few weeks working on something pretty big for me. It involved the Scottish film organization and their GASP project. This gives five people over the age of 16 the chance to work in an animation studio up here in ol' Scotland-diddly-o. Obviously a chance I couldn't bare to miss out on! So I've been scribbling away at the application and filling out the required three page portfolio. My father is on his way to mail it off today so wish me luck guys! Maybe I'll get the chance to go to an interview and maybe even actually get a place. That would be dandy wouldn't it? I'm sure I won't get the chance to considering there are only five places but I'm still gonna work my pants off to try and get there.

As for other goings on, one of my cats has recently fallen ill, the good news is she's on the mend and just needs to continue being monitored for the time being. I'm sure she'll be back to her perky old self again in no time hehe.

Also, my obsession with both the show 24 and Kids Next Door has yet again been renewed as I've been watching episodes quite a bit for the past few days. Making many a Jack Bauer joke and doodling away. I also bought the season 1 & 2 soundtrack for 24, and let me say I am very pleased with the score of it! Money well spent I have to say.

And some more news on the cartoon front for me, I have recently tuned in to watching El Tigre on Nick. I'm rather disappointed that I'm so late in watching this show though, it's rather interesting and the style makes me smile. I have a few works I've done of El Tigre and Django that I can post up here for you all to melt your eyes out with of course!

In other news my parents have began that talk of moving home again, their plan is to buy a large house up North where most of our positions and such will remain, as well as a small flat over here in Edinburgh. The advantage to this is that I'll get a room bigger than 2 metres wide and get a place to pollute with loud and jumpy music without being interrupted, huzzah! Of course there is only TALK of this, no actual movement towards it. Though I have reasons to believe my mum is rather serious about this idea, but I'll keep you updated on the matter if it changes.
And what do I have planned for the rest of today, you ask? [Not really, I just need to blab a little longer!]

Well I've got a friend popping over for the night and we plan on watching some 24 episodes, eat cake and play video games of course! What better way to spend an evening?

Haven't been able to shove up a blog in a while, so this one could be quite the big bugger if you know what I mean! My apologies guys, I'm sure you're getting angry about the stream of endless rubbish I ramble about huh?

I returned from London a while ago, ecstatic after watching the men's final. As hoped, Nadal was versus Federa and they were locked in almost a 5 hour game. The longest and might I say closest game ever played on a Wimbledon court. Again, one day I might upload photos me and my mum caught of the match. Unfortunately the ones later on didn't come out too well, it was 9 PM you know! But still, I don't think I'll ever be forgetting that trip to London, even if the weather wasn't completely on my side.
I also got the chance to go to a Sushi bar, my mum told me to fill a box with my choice because I won't get the chance to wander into one again for a long time, seeing as they seem to be lacking in existence here in Edinburgh. Gotta say, best I've ever tasted. Yum yum yuuuumm!

After I returned from London, I spent a few days at home before being whisked away again to go up North to visit my family. Luckily I was able to drag one of my friends along with me! We spent most of our time wandering around the village like idiots or wandering into that huge Tesco that everyone knows. It's about the most interesting thing there. Sad I know.

I also got to spend a day with one of my good friends Bex! I met her around five years ago, she lives in England and was coming over here to do a little sight seeing so it seemed. So, we organized to meet up and have a great day wandering around Edinburgh. We also went to see WALL-E, it was an amazing movie! The animation was superb and the graphics were so sharp and nice to look at. Over all it was a great day. I know she's probably going to read this at some point so...Hi Bex! Hope you come and visit again soon so we can blab about animation until the cows come home!

Okay now onto the drawing business. I've just been having a quick glance over my folders and I've found a few drawings I could put up in this post. seeing as I haven't shown much lately hehe.

The beginning of an adventure.

This very morning at the insane time of 5 AM I was rudely awoken by my human alarm clock which is my mother to prepare for a rather interesting and one-of-a-kind adventure! That's right guys, I got sent over to the bustling streets of London for the legendary Wimbledon Tennis men's finals!

We ended up getting to the airport at around 6 AM or so, wandering around the duty free shops like they were a jungle thick with sales predators aiming to strike with reasons as to why you should spend your good money on over priced cheap junk! Simply for it's nostalgic value and a bag full of memories, at an air port which I visit within my home city. I've seen all I need to see about Scotland! Edinburgh, specifically.

After a long while of doing this, we decided to retreat into a coffee place and indulge in a decent cup of tea (Hot chocolate for me thanks!) and sat at the lobby waiting to enter the gate way. I watched a few small jets and planes take off, though I rarely speak of my plane obsession. I am actually quite the enthusiast. I wish I could draw them decently, I'd be happy as a clam if I could sketch them from memory!

Within a half hour we were boarding the very small plane, which was packed with business men and women, as they always are at such times in the morning. Anyway, I noticed that this plane was very different than any airliner I had flown on before. The wings were located above the windows, so the jets hung right under the wings and in full view of my window seat. I know I know, you're probably thinking "...And that's interesting because?” To be honest, I couldn't really tell you. I just find it really interesting to watch the engines and how they function. They suck in cold air and coupled with explosions the air becomes incredibly hot and is blown out the other end and thus propels the plane forwards! Truly a marvel of transportation, hehe.

And so, after a very pleasant flight, we took a few underground lines to get to our hotel. The room is a bit small and quite cold, but late I found this to be a very very GOOD thing!

Now, onto the real reason as to why I’m down here in London. My mother and I were lucky enough to gain access to a few tickets to the Wimbledon Tennis games! We had to arrive early to view the matches today, and we’re also here to see the men’s finals on Sunday!

Today, we really only came to see our two favourite players fight to make it into the finals! Those two being Rafael Nadal and Federa. Unfortunately it must be said that Federa’s match was fairly uninteresting… He basically hammered the guy he was playing against. It was kinda predicted by my mum, though I still won’t ever forget ever viewing a match so close up! Hehehe.

Nadal made his match a lot more interesting I have to say. He seemed to drag it along for a while, hammering him at the start and making it look difficult in the middle. He certainly made the crowd stick to the edges of their seats shall we say. Hehe, again something I won’t ever forget seeing! And again, got numerous snaps of the games. Hopefully I’ll get many many more at the finals on Sunday. I really hope it’s Federa V Nadal like last year. It’d make one heck of a show down and an amazing finish to my whole experience!

I’ll hopefully be able to update this blog over the next few days, recording memorable moments. That IS if I can keep this bloody internet connection up long enough to post, jeez lame connections are annoying.

Now for my next task…To figure out how to fix the fuzzy TV so I can watch South Park in colour. hat or go to sleep, I’m really exhausted.

Blogs are said to be places where you write/type your feelings am I right? I have a hard time doing this through paranoia of someone reading it so I will keep it simple. As you may be aware my moods have been very...Varied through the last few blogs, on and off down spells and such.

Well, as it was said by one of my closest friends, "Hey! Maybe you've finally fallen for someone! Love does that to people." now at the time I didn't think much of the idea and completely dismissed it. After all it doesn't suit my personality at all. But after a few days of thinking and pondering it became clear that to my horror this indeed was the case. And so, I've been sickeningly giddy and high on life for a good few weeks now. To the point of me giggling and smiling for no reason and prancing around like a moron. I feel happy but I also feel like I'm being a big idiot in regards to my actions. I feel very very silly.

I suppose I can use the description I gave to my friend! I have butterflies in my stomach yet I have a large vexed expression and deny all my feelings to anyone who even tries to ask. "I hate everyone!" Usually being the one that surfaces.

But jeez, does it feel special or what? The only ill side to it is the lack of sleep I've been getting as of lately. I'm so very very tired right now, I've fallen asleep on the chair twice! Ah well, my amigos have decided to give me a deadline from telling the guy. Deadline being the right word too.... Heh, I think my feelings will not be returned but I only really face rejection, nothing else. I'm not afraid of such things. I just hope he stays my friend.

Been doing a lot of doodling today, but the majority of the stuff is on paper and my scanner appears to be working against me. So I whipped up a little doodle of Ghost Rider over on sketcher for you all to view! Now things to note about the image...
I got super lazy with the fire, hence it's unfinishedness and generally bad form. The skull itself is also incorrect in shape, it was drawn from memory. And he apparently also has really wonky teeth now hehe.

I was really just playing with the smudge tool this time round, and I have thoroughly fallen in love with it! I just need to combine hard lines with the smudge and hey-presto I'll be set for a new colouring scheme. Fingers crossed people!

Okay so my dad stole my laptop for the next few days. I suppose this is a good thing because I really need to take a doodle break...I have a feeling I've injured my arm badly again because as I type this it is in so much freaking pain it's unbelievable...Anyway I doodled up this little sketch of an Irken character for a role play I've gotten back into. So I've officially finished off all of my exams! My last one was at 1 PM this-..Well yesterday, afternoon. As you can probably guess I'm up at a crazy time over here in the UK, doodling my little heart out as my inspiration flows back to me. Been making up a few random critters with that scribble technique and definitely got a load of laughs from doing so haha. I've been told the purple dino-thing is a big favourite on the sketcher.

Continuing the art block thing simply because I have been suggested various other ways to prevent it or fill in the gap of having a lack of ideas.

Another way would be to simply start doing gift art for artists you like, for instance drawing their characters interacting with yours, or even another artists characters. Just make sure you ask their permission first, people are touchy about that sort of thing. Plus being polite is generally how you should go around these things.

A few other things would be re watch old shows you like, or things you were once in to and see if you can draw up some art for it. Similar to the gift art idea I know but it tends to work wonders.

And finally the most obvious, go and talk to your friends or other artists.Even start up a collaboration work. This is a great way to improve yourself as an artist and soak up ideas like there is no tomorrow! Not to mention really fun.

These are only a few ways to get rid of art block and I'm sure everyone has there own way of doing it, but I thought noting a few ways of how I and a few friends beat art block would be worth it if anyone wanted to try something different. Hope this helps whoever needs it!

How does one break this horrible thing of utter evil and causer of copious amounts of artistic stress? I know that the majority of artists out there are thinking, "You're a complaining teen with no sense, shut the Hell up!" and you're possibly right. But I do have a few techniques for ridding yourself of this thorn in your side once and for all if you keep it up.

The first option is no secret, watch a movie or listen to some new music. Inspiration is an easy thing to find through these forms of media, as one knows there are hundreds of thousands of each to keep one preoccupied for a life time. But what if you find yourself too lazy to watch a movie or look for new music, or you don't even have time to do so?

This brings me to another option, based off a game that is played in our school on the last few days of school. What you do is simply scribble in 3 or 4 places, and try and see if you can create something from the scribbles you have made. You needn't be strict either, let the ideas flow from there! After you've got one nailed see if you can continue with the theme, I've found this can generate quite a few interesting designs for myself. There's a sample at the end of this blog, but I only had time to do two.

Another is a game I play with some of my friends over at Art Grounds. What you do is ask someone to give you three objects, and two animals. You then think of something interesting that involves all of the named objects and doodle it down! It's a great way to get the ideas flowing and can also generate a few laughs in the process. Of course you can change the two animals into any being you wish depending on your preference. Never any solid rules for these things haha.

Another technique I've seen around is simply sifting through a news paper and picking out ten words. You then doodle up the first thing that comes to mind. I haven't really ever used this technique, but hey it's the artists preference and each one of us is different.

The new version of the online applet sketcher is up and available to test out if you're a member of the site. I couldn't resist popping in and checking out the amazing new settings for the brushes! There are still a few bugs to it but I have to say, Thor's done an amazing job with it. it has the ability to save six brushes per user and has a grand total of 5 available layers to draw on. But I'm sure you will find out all about it later, haha.

What better a thing to draw then a disco dancing monkey to celebrate such fun and interesting brushes? Enjoy!

Onto the practice of human anatomy!...Well soon enough anyway, I plan on creative a study of human figures over the summer and keeping it in a folder/book of some description. I'll be sitting around various spots in Edinburgh and sketching out things when the weather agrees. That is if my plan comes together or not, but I'll be doing my damnedest to make it happen!

For this occasion I have complied a few rough sketches of a human head, but bare in mind people I suck at realism, and this is from memory. No refs were used at all so they're, well, like I said. Rough.

Okay so I've been a very very busy person the last few weeks. So much has happened in such a short space of time it is unbelievable. I'll start in order I suppose, of how my life has somehow changed.

So I've almost finished all of my finals, one more to go and I'm completely free of what I can safely say has been my worst year ever. Then again I'm not the only one who feels this, a lot of my year do. S5 is a Hell hole. But it's now when you realise that you've only got one year to go before you split from High School and either go to College, start working as an apprentice, or go onto University.Scary stuff, but I'm sure we all know that already.

And onto the next big thing that's happened, I have resigned my place as administrator upon that art site I've waffled on about before. It came to the point that the community has changed from what I am used to, and that my job was no longer a pleasure but a chore.So I've packed up my art and moved else where, this may give me more time to update this place. It is the only thing I give attention to anymore hehe. This also doesn't mean I'm finished with being an admin in general, I have been approached elsewhere for the job. It's kinda nice to have people trust you as much as that, it really blew me away.

I have also packed up my art over at Deviant Art, I have no real reason why I have. I just feel it is time for a change.It's not like I updated much over there anyway, so I'm sure it won't matter.

It's odd because I feel more free than I have in a very long time, though it has to be said it's also overwhelming.

I haven't drawn a lot of decent art in a while either, with the finals being at my heels and all. But I have doodled up this little cute-thing that makes me want to combust from sheer terror. Please enjoy!

Okay so I've been a busy body with loads of School work deadlines but the majority is done! I've finally finished all my art course work and it's being sent off to the SQA. I'll not hear another word about it until my exam results come back to me and that's a long time away. Now all I need to do is take all my exams over the next month or so and it'll be relax time. But, I do get to have a little more artistic freedom for a few days so I wandered around looking out for ideas.A request ended up falling into my lap so I attempted it. The request was to draw a picture of Mephiles the Hedgehog, a character from one of the newer Sonic games I presume. I haven't played any of them so I have no clue who he is.He was fun to doodle though!

Evil things they are, going and getting stuck in your teeth!

A lot has happened over the last few days, my dad recently got diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. I was scared as hell at first, but now I've been informed on what he can consume and what he needs to do so all will be alright in a month or so, I'll just keep an eye out on what he eats.

Anyways, on to today's doodle. I was in a sketcher room and the idea for a collab came up, the theme being "Come up with your own Supervillain!". Me being me, I had no idea what to do to make the lamest possible villain ever. So I asked around for random words to jog my imagination. Naturally a good friend of mine suggested "Apple!" and this was what spawned from it.

Apple Core! Changing the way you think of apples for ever with the help of his apple peeler, apple pie launcher, rotten apple grenades and my personal favourite...A sub seed machine gun, weapon idea courtesy of a friend. Ahhh, all is well.

Been watching KND a lot more again wich would be a good thing if I could ever catch it on TV. Oh what I would give to have the whole series on DVD, how awesome that would be... Though I don't think CN will ever do that, they seem to have a habbit of just releasing the first series and leaving it. Oh well, I'll just have to keep trying to catch it and hope that one day they do give us the remainder of the series up for buying.

I've noticed that I'm a huge fan of the Six Gum Gang but to my horror there hasn't been any fanart done for them to my knowledge. I'm just going to have to fix that now aren't I? But for now here's a doodle from an idea I've had for a little mini-comic a while back. Poor Lenny usually gets away with snoozing because the helmet hides his face. Not his snores though...

I love the Delightful Children, the idea of such a group really wows me.

I've run into a mind blank in the drawing department...So I just plug in my tablet, head into the sketchers on Art Grounds and doodle away at anything that takes my fancy. As of lately it's a few of my friends characters hehe. Maybe I should start reading articles and get some ideas...Meh, or I could just go play videogames. That is always an option.

Okay so I haven't been around much lately, school is still taking over but you know, only 8 more weeks right? Then it's exam time and after that the long awaited summer holidays!
I plan on doing a lot during the Summer, hanging out with friends, getting a few new programs for animating, actually get a version of Photoshop...And of course, the whole travelling around to Open days for colleges thing, I plan on visiting Dundee University as well as the Art college, maybe even a little closer to home and checking out Edinburgh college of art. I was in there once before to see the art with my class and I must admit it is a beautiful place to work...Though the hallways kinda remind me of a hospital. Hm, that's a tad un-nerving isn't it?

Oh yeah, got my report card today too. Can't wait to see my dad's face when he sees how good it's going for me, somehow I think he'll turn it into a drama and something bad like usual but nyeh, I'll let him because I'm happy with it. Yes yes.

And to every ones surprise I DO bring art with me this visit, and it's finished! Kind of anyway. The line art is messy but it was a quick doodle so sue me.

Yup, done for a friend of mine who is obsessed with this little Bomberman. Who could blame him? Just look at his face! You can't say no to it.

But since yesterday I've been doodling up storm with lots of...Cowboys. And I mean a LOT. Maybe I'll upload some next time around hm? Have a good one guys!

Apologies for my lack of posting! You know all my exams are now complete and I had a decent week off school on top of that before being dragged back to the building kicking and screaming. Boroughmuir does happen to look like a prison on the inside and out. But I think I've had enough ranting about that place, it's clearly not going to get any better and complaining about it won't help anything.

I have got barely any of my marks back so I'm still not sure of how I've done for a few subjects...I got an A in art though, and failed the maths paper. Then again, most of the year failed it too apparently. I wonder why?Hmm let's ponder over the reliability of the schooling system for a minute here... Nah, not the place.

A lot of stuff has been going on since I took those practice exams, had a few friends advise me on taking up a role which I may explain later, maybe not. It depends how things go...But I've also been getting mixed feedback on wether it would be a good idea to attend an art college to learn animation inside and out. Some say I'm too young, some say go for it, some even say that it's a waste of time and that I would just wind up being an art teacher instead. Thanks but no thanks, tearing my hair out over trouble makers and telling people there is a "wrong" way to do art does not appeal to me in the slightest.

On another note I'm coming down with the cold. One minute you're fine and the next you're shooting snot rockets out of your nose with the power of a hurricane! Who knew that colds could be so entertaining. I ended up explaining how I managed to shoot a huge snot rocket across the room by accident to my mum and she said I sounded proud of such a disgusting feat. Of course I am! It was gross and amazing all at the same time, that is an amazing thing if I do say so myself.

I also had a productive few days in doodling up a few things, may as well post some of it up here for all of your viewing...Inconvenience? Yes. We'll leave it at that.

Oh, and the image doesn't say "Supper" it says "Suffer"...My writing is horrid I know but my computer happened to be lagging at the time too, so that didn't really help it.

As my hand decided to finally hop off my wrist and run away in complete terror!

Okay so I've done almost all of my exams, only one more to go and it's a lengthy bugger. But more of that on the day, maybe?...Depends if I'm not sobbing from lack of confidence or partying because I have free time for the first time in around three weeks? Who knows, we'll wait until that mountain appears.

Okay, so today I had two exams. My Higher maths exam in the morning and an art exam in the afternoon. Sounds okay, an okay exam followed by art for a few hours, shouldn't be too hard right?

Wrong. OH SO VERY WRONG.

The maths exam would have been perfectly fine if it weren't for the one tiny detail that they completely changed the damn paper. None of the questions on the paper were like anything I have ever seen before, so I'm relitively sure I completely failed it. Mind you, I'm not the only one saying this...Everyone came out of that exam saying it was hard, so hopefully I haven't done so bad that they'll remove me from the class. That would be bad, I need something to get me into university, and maths is one of my strong points...Atleast I've been told it is? Hope they're right!

And then, around an hour and a half later was my art exam. Now usually an artsy person like myself would consider such an exam to be "fun", right? Again, you're wrong.

The SQA had once again decided to shoot me in the foot by changing the exam itself THIS year. So instead of being judged on your drawing and artistic abilities, you are tested on your art history and knowledge, aswell as how well you can remember what things look like... Oh what a pretty chair! It's brown and made of WOOD! Wow. Please write and essay about it. Oh and did we mention? It has to be four sides of A4 and has to be done in fourty five minutes, can you handle that?

Thank you SQA, thanks a freakin' bunch. Now don't get me wrong, writing is an art and I know this. But it's an art for an English literature classroom, not a painter's.
I guess the only good thing about that is that it requires next to no revision time, which tends to suggest even a brain dead monkey could do it. That's a reaaaaally impressive qualification right there.

So yes, a person with a bit of an almost constantly injured wrist is probably going to have a little bit of difficulty with writing such a number of pages in fourty five minutes...

And that, boys and girls, is how my hand fell off and ran away! If you see it please return it back to me as I do need it for my History exam. One more day of torture and then I'm free for a week and a bit! Yaaaaaaay!
...But then it just starts again. Well doesn't that just suck.

No art this time people, I don't think I need to tell you why.

I have never understood the insult "fag". I know it's derogatory for a homosexual but it's used very often over here in Scotland's armpit known as Edinburgh.[I love it really.] However, it is also known as a term for a cigarette, now what I'm wondering is. If someone is called a "fag", does that give you the option of picking them up and setting fire to their hair? Hmmm perhaps someone should test this one day, see if it stands in court.

Now onto excuses for my absence of artistic barf. One word. Exams. End of story. I have a maths National Assessment Bank on Friday, in other words they want to see if you can fail it so they can kick you from the class for the heck of it, stupid one would think eh?

Another pointless thing over here in Scotland is the Standard Grade qualification. It serves NO purpose what so ever apart from letting you move onto a much harder course which is known as a Higher.That's all very well and good but the leap of work applied to each is so huge that it causes people to stumble and fail these Highers with ease.Why not raise the bar for the Standard Grade SQA? Or even get rid of it all together and teach Highers over two years, that would make more sense that cramming two years worth of knowledge and teaching into ONE year. I mean I have an exam in a little over a week and they haven't even finished teaching me what I actually need to know to DO it.

Just a little peek into the Scottish schooling system for you, it has so many holes that it should be classified as a siv. I mean for the art exam you aren't even assessed on your artistic skills, only your essay writing skills, now some people classify writing as an art. I agree, it is, but not the kind that should be in an art class I would say it should be for English don't you think?

Anyway I'll stop the ranting and raving, as I have finally been able to doodle something up. Meet my space Kangaroo! He wants all of your croutons!

Procrastination is the devil. I managed to not procrastinate on my studies, but still managed to do so with my drawing.So I will shove up some old work again and hope that I will be able to draw something nice soon enough.

Old, incorrectly coloured AND it's blurred.Score one for the computer without a coloured screen...You may have won that battle but you will never win the war!

I seriously cannot wait for the Underfist. It sounds so very epic and is full of my favourite characters from Billy and Mandy, what more could I want? A new tablet maybe but that is besides the point. I have a very long wait but I bet it'll be worth it.Besides I get to be one of those fun people who glue their eyes to TV screens for their most favouritest show for once, what fun.

Now I will attempt to actually draw something before I go to bed...Maybe someone actually sticking their eyes to a screen...That would be funny wouldn't it?Yes. Just smile and nod.

I was playing Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles today. You know, kicking zombie butt and having a blast with the grenades...I was surrounded and had loads of ammo, perfect thing to have in such a situation! I was kicking so much tail, but then something horrible happened...My Wii mote ran out of batteries so all I could do was watch in horror as I was slowly devoured by leaches. What fun, eh?

Fweh, I was also watching "Emotional Skarr" today and decided to doodle this up!

Now if you'll excuse me, more zombies need to be destroyed! I'm armed with a belt load of batteries THIS time!

Wouldn't life be so much nicer and full of laughs if normal things, for instance shutting a door made fart noises? Seriously I think life would be a lot better... That and random sound effects.Like in cartoons...

Anyway, got my second Billy and Mandy DVD today, "Billy & Mandy's Big Boogey Adventure". Gotta say I'm very pleased with it even if I had to import it from the US and have to watch it on my laptop. Well worth it! Now I can only lay in wait and hope that CN will release the second season of Billy & Mandy on DVD, the show really deserves it after running so long with such success.Catching it on TV after school is going to have to suffice until then I guess.

Time for the, so far, daily doodleness! I don't know how on earth I'm going to keep this up with exams rearing their ugly head at the end of this month though.

Okay so I decided to make a blog, just a place where I could record my thoughts a little as well as spam up the place with a few of my doodles. Kinda like what I draw at night in my spare time which I wish I had more of...Then again don't we all?
Maybe I should have called this "Village idiot's art dump" that may have been more fitting. Ah well, bare with me.
I'll start by shoving up some stuff I doodled up last night, some sketches of Grim and Evil characters, colour was just splashed on them and they're very messy but that's how I do all my work at the moment...My tablet is a bit broken and I lack a decent scanner to show any traditional stuff, maybe later hm?
